What Does a Postpartum Doula Do?

  • Physical Recovery:
    Support for healing (vaginal or cesarean), comfort measures, and self-care reminders.

  • Infant Feeding:
    Guidance with breastfeeding, chestfeeding, pumping, or bottle feeding—plus troubleshooting and referrals.

  • Emotional Wellness:
    Trauma-informed listening, mood check-ins, and help processing your birth experience.

  • Practical Help:
    Infant care, soothing techniques, light chores, and sibling support.

  • Partner & Family Guidance:

Tips for partners, siblings, and building your support network.

  • Resource Navigation:

Referrals to lactation consultants, mental health providers, and local support groups.

Postpartum Services

A minimum of 24 hours is required when booking our postpartum doula support. This ensures you receive consistent, meaningful care—whether you choose daytime, overnight, or a combination of both. Hours can be scheduled flexibly to fit your family’s unique needs.

Postpartum Support Starting Rates

At Treasured Art of Birth LLC, our postpartum support services are designed to provide comprehensive, compassionate care for your family during the early weeks after birth. Our postpartum support is available in flexible hourly packages to best meet your needs.

Minimum Postpartum Support Package:

  • Texas: $55 per hour (minimum 24-hour package – $1,320)

  • Washington: $65 per hour (minimum 24-hour package – $1,560)

These starting rates reflect our commitment to personalized, trauma-informed care. Packages can be customized beyond the minimum to fit your family's unique needs.

Daytime Support

  • In-home support during the day (minimum 4-hour shifts)

  • Assistance with infant care, feeding, soothing, and sleep routines

  • Light household help (laundry, meal prep, tidying)

  • Emotional support, birth processing, and trauma-informed listening

  • Guidance for partners and siblings as your family adjusts

  • Community resource referrals and ongoing education

Families seeking daytime help, guidance, and reassurance as they navigate newborn care and recovery.

Overnight Support

  • In-home support during overnight hours (minimum 8-hour shifts)

  • Infant care and soothing so parents can rest

  • Feeding support (breast/chest, bottle, or pumping)

  • Light household help as needed

  • Emotional check-ins and reassurance during nighttime transitions

Families who need restful sleep and peace of mind, knowing their baby is cared for by a trauma-informed professional.
